         Ouk Ou or '' Preah Borom Peasa Ou '' mostly known as Krom Ngoy was born in 1865 ( His date of birth was unsure ) in a small town in Kandal Province. Ngoy was educated in a pagoda that was built in his village. Ngoy was famos for his creative and educational poems. Not only he have the amazing skill in making poems , he also have the voice of a professional singer at that time according to the people who used to know him , not many people who used to hear his voice survive today so it's hard to find one. Krom Ngoy's fame spread across the Southeast Asia. His poems were famous for teaching Cambodian youth as well as Khmer elderly about the way of life. His poems flow from the day you were born , educated , work , married to your death. Not only that '' Preah Borom Peasa Ou '' is famous for his great , inspirational and educational poems , He is also widely known for protecting Khmer culture from being vanished in the French Protectorate regime, while back then Khmer culture was just an ant compare to the modern society. What's special about Ngoy is that his fame still spread and his poems still educate student for generation from province to province across Cambodia. Sadly Ngoy pass away in 1936 at the age of 71 , leaving his wife and his six sons, One of son inherited Ngoy's god given talent and continue making poems.

        He is special to me because I myself loves Khmer culture and History, If it wasn't for Ngoy, I would be speaking French by now .
